Brussels Summer Festival - Part. III

Et pour ce dernier article sur le Brussels Summer Festival, je vous ai concocté quelques artistes Néo comme on les aime et des découvertes (comme on les aime aussi).

Vous connaissez peut-être Sophie Hunger ? Vous avez sûrement déjà entendu son nom chez nous et c’est sous un soleil bruxellois estival qu’elle est montée sur scène ce jeudi ! Le public présent attendait peut-être My Little Cheap Dictaphone mais elle a réussi à les convaincre et a même usé de sa reprise de Noir Désir « Le vent l’emportera » pour y arriver. Et les slaves d’applaudissements ont trahi, et ce pour son plus grand plaisir, la surprise et découverte musicale que le public a fait ce soir-là. Mais comme dit plus haut, les petits belges de My Little Cheap Dictaphone étaient « fort » attendu (pour parler belge). Une foule compacte, une buvette qui déborde, des gamines au bord de l’hystérie… J’exagère ? Oh si peu ! Et c’est d’ailleurs depuis la buvette que j’ai profité de ce concert… un peu frisquet et rigide. Malgré la foule et les cris des fans, l’ambiance n’y était pas selon moi. Ca bougeait un peu devant mais je m’attendais, je dois l’avouer, à quelque chose de plus rock’n’roll. L’écran en arrière scène était une très bonne idée cependant mais un peu plus d’attrait envers le public ne m’aurait pas dérangé ! Enfin le son y était et je n’attends que de les revoir pour changer mon opinion !

 

Le festival a continué sans moi ce vendredi mais samedi j’étais là, présente et comblée ! Vous allez croire que je me plains mais enfin, quand on a Gush devant soi, on ne s’assoit pas par terre ! Ce groupe de 4 garçons, 2 frères et leurs 2 cousins, cheveux dans les yeux et jeans slims m’ont donné envie de retourner dans les années folles, quand les groupies anglaises écoutaient leur(s) groupe(s) de rock préféré(s) sur les radios pirates… C’est peut-être un peu pour ça qu’on les compare parfois aux Beatles ! Ce groupe est un savant mélange, 4 voix qui s’accordent à merveille, des talents musicaux très bien exploités et une énergie (familiale ?) qui a l’air de se passer de l’un à l’autre ! Mention spéciale pour le batteur qui a tenté (quasi vainement) de chauffer le public ! Un public un peu mou et un festivalier commençant à fatiguer (après 10 jours aussi intenses que ceux-ci), un cocktail qui n’a pourtant pas refroidi nos amis rockeurs ! Des sauts partout, la rage au ventre et la bouche collée au micro, j’ai apprécié. Rendez vous au Bataclan à Paris en novembre !

Et si la foule était si peu passionnée par ce groupe que je compte suivre dorénavant, Nouvelle Vague a fait carton plein ce soir. Collée au plus près des barrières, je n'ai pu qu'apprécier les deux chanteuses, complémentaires, l'une à la voix soul et grave pleine de puissance, l'autre, voix fine et légère à l’accent frenchy, un bassiste monté sur ressort.. Voilà une très belle découverte scénique ! Après 3 albums et quelques reprises, le groupe ne faiblit pas, et les rappels se succèdent : 4 morceaux pour un rappel, c’est plutôt surprenant, mais très agréable ! On en redemanderait encore! Là, je dois avouer que mon Brussels Summer Festival s’est fini en beauté !

 

Le BSF continue demain, dernier soir, et il ne faut pas rater Dan San et Babylon Circus, qui clôtureront le festival place des Musées !
